This spread consists of a main title, subtitle, body copy, and footers, all following a 3 row by 6 column modular grid layout. The article describes a proposed 1500 mile long thru-hike named xTx Trail that would span East to West across Texas. The theme of Texas in this article inspired me to include a large, all capitals title to emulate the physically large area and connotation that Texas embodies. The outdoor theme of the magazine and article is further communicated through the incorporation of image and color.
