Artist Statement

The City Branding Project is a unified system of branded elements to be used by the city of Savannah, Georgia. This collection includes a logo, brand guide, rack brochure, business card, letterhead, and envelope, encapsulating Savannah's identity. The brand identity of Savannah Georgia is a modernized representation of the historical and cultural vibrancy of the city, as seen through abstract symbol logo, color and typographic juxtaposition.

 As a symbolic representation of the Talmadge Bridge, an important landmark in the Savannah skyline, the use of the logo throughout the system is a strong representation and reminder of place. This element shows versatility through the use alongside a wordmark, at multiple scales, and in various colors
