Artist Statement

This Greco-Roman inspired bust is made from stoneware with layered glaze. While studying art history at Montana State University, I grew an affinity for neoclassical art. This project gave me the opportunity to explore my own expression of the Neoclassical, through symbolic stylistic attributes such as a laurel crown. The ceramic bust is a media exploration and example of well rounded fine art stills learned throughout the 2024-2025 academic year.
